The Able Trust is Florida's statewide leader in disability employment dedicated to expanding the employment opportunities of people with disabilities. Established by the Florida legislature to support the Florida Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (VR), The Able Trust collaborates with Florida employers, community organizations, and career development partners to help Floridians with disabilities of all ages enter the workforce.
The Able Trust, also known as the Florida Endowment Foundation for Vocational Rehabilitation, is a 501(c)(3) public charity established by the Florida Legislature in 1990. Since its establishment, The Able Trust has worked with community organizations throughout the state to help thousands of Floridians with disabilities of all ages enter the workforce.
The Able Trust High School High Tech program provides high school students with disabilities the opportunity to explore post-secondary training and career development opportunities, helping to reduce the dropout rate and prepare young adults for life beyond high school.
The Able Trust is committed to the belief that every individual should have the opportunity to live up to their full potential. We support efforts to help individuals with disabilities find, maintain and advance in meaningful and sustainable employment. Work is not only a means of income and independence but a pathway to prosperity, to community and connection, and purpose.
